Online Watch Caesar Must Die Streaming Movie Without Downloading Winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlinale, Paolo and Vittorio Taviani's Caesar Must Die deftly melds narrative and documentary in a transcendently powerful drama-within-a-drama. The film was made in Rome's Rebibbia Prison, where the inmates are preparing to stage Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. After a competitive casting process, the roles are eventually allocated, and the prisoners begin exploring the text, finding in its tale of fraternity, power and betrayal parallels to their own lives and stories. Hardened criminals, many with links to organised crime, these actors find great motivation in performing the play. As we witness the rehearsals, beautifully photographed in various nooks and crannies within the prison, we see the inmates also work through their own conflicts, both internal and between each other. -- (C) Adopt Caesar Must Die Movie release on Feb 6, 2013 Limited | |

Caesar Must Die Movie Review |
In a scant hour and a quarter it enlarges your notion of what theater and cinema, what art itself, can do -- it dissolves every boundary it meets. David Edelstein-New York Magazine
The Taviani brothers, Paolo and Vittorio, have been blurring the line between reality and fiction in their films for six decades. Bob Mondello-NPR
The movie's predominant black-and-white palette pares the action to its starkest outlines, and a few color sequences reconnect the prison, and the prisoners, to the surrounding world. Richard Brody-New Yorker
Italy's Oscar entry for best foreign pic of 2012 is a bold choice, one featuring hardened criminals who deliver a shattering performance of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. Harvey S. Karten-Compuserve
A clever meta-narrative achievement that boasts winningly naturalistic performances from the real inmates and doesn't outstay its welcome. Shaun Munro-What Culture
The 'play-within-the-film' concept keeps the audience held slightly at arms length, but in many of the more intense scenes it's hard not to be sucked in, at least until the real world interrupts again. Gail Tolley-The List
Deceptively modest on nearly all accounts, Paolo and Vittorio Taviani's Caesar Must Die employs seemingly minor directorial contrivances to ruminate on a unique quarrel. Chris Cabin-Slant Magazine
Shakespeare's tragedy gains extra piquancy in a Roman prison. Don Groves-sbs.com.au
Friends, Romans, Countrymen; Caesar Must Die is flawless, and must be seen. Blake Howard-2UE That Movie Show
